Pastor Spooner and his wife Camille started to pastor our church in October of 2022.
COUNCIL MEMBERS
Hans Wollenberg
Council Chair
“Still waters run deep.” This humble, servant-hearted guy has a dry sense of humour and passionately loves Jesus and people! He quips that he was born at an early age and raised in Germany but grew up to be quite a globe-trotter. Hans has a deep love and respect for God’s Word that is reflected in the heart-felt sermons he blesses us with from time to time.
Sandy Huggett
Council Vice Chair / Children's Ministry Chair
Sandy is a bit of a livewire… Her background in nursing shines through as she compassionately cares for little ones, seniors and everyone in-between. She plays a mean Cajon (Cuban beatbox) on the worship team when not teaching kids or leading our ladies’ LIFEGROUP…or zipping around in her BMW convertible. This girl is fun on steroids!
Bev Petit
Council Treasurer
If you want the job done right – Bev’s your girl! This lady is an organizational maven! Do you have an unidentified file or cupboard? Bev’s got a label for that! When she is not babysitting grandkids, giving rides to seniors, helping hang her neighbour’s Christmas lights or counting the offering, Bev loves to hang out on cruise ships with her best friend.
Gord Swetlishoff
Councillor
Don’t let the quiet demeanour fool you—this guy is quite the jokester. His selfies and posts on Facebook keep us in stitches as well as inspire us to live exuberantly for God! Gord is the guy who gets the job done whether up in the sound-booth making the worship team sound great or employing his carpentry skills around the church.
Sara Swetlishoff
Council Secretary / IT Administrator
Need help with a technical problem? Whether it comes to stage decor, livestream software, or intriguing media advertising, Sara is your girl! She has a constant drive to complete everything to perfection, while consistently improving it. Although her training is in biology, she has embraced the world of media and producing. Sara will often be the first one at the church and the last one to leave!
